Who is The Kilted Dogwalker?

Hi, I'm Andy,

A.K.A. The Kilted Dogwalker. I was born and raised in Edinburgh, but have lived in Yorkshire for almost 20 years. After working in the drinks industry for over 20 years I decided to give it all up so I could pursue my one true passion, Dogs. I have been involved with dogs my entire life and since February I have been working and training with highly experienced pack dog walker, Dayne Stewart. I have yet to meet or see anyone that has as much understanding and control around dogs than Dayne has and he has played an instrumental part in my development as a dog walker.

I am a fully insured and I can offer solo walks but prefer to do group walks focusing on pack behaviour and instilling obedience, recall and sociability.

I use a specialist vehicle, fully air conditioned, designed for police dogs, to give safety and security in transit. Door-to-door pick up and drop off is provided.I am based in Sowerby Bridge, but cover Calderdale and West Yorkshire. All dogs are walked in remote, rural areas not near sheep, nesting birds, cars or roads.

I have a flexible working pattern, that can fit in with your schedule and love to share photos and videos of our walks.

Travis

Travis is our 9 year old border collie and undoubtedly one of the best dogs I have ever had. Dependable, reliable and 100% obedient, Travis brings a calm and settled energy to the pack and is fantastic at showing new pack members how to walk in a group.

Bruce

Bruce is 4 years old and at the opposite end of the spectrum to Travis. Bruce is high energy, excitable and will run all day. He has a very strong collie eye and would of made the perfect working sheep dog. Because of this, Bruce is always at the front when I release the pack and like to lead the charge, he is a good marker for how far I want them to go before recall.
